IMDB

Movie Summary: When two girls move to the country to be near their ailing mother, they have adventures with the wondrous forest spirits who live nearby.

Review: This is such a cute movie. It was so sweet that little Mei followed Satsuki everywhere and wanted to be just like her.

Mei was seriously so precious and so cute, I loved that while exploring and playing in the garden she finds Totoro unexpectedly and then just falls asleep on him, how sweet.

The story was really sad with their mom being in the hospital and the family having to move and the girls not fully understanding what was wrong with her or why she couldn’t just come home. However it was beautiful that the girls met Totoro and had this wonderful little adventure with him, seeing his magical ways.

I don’t very often watching movies like this but I had seen this when I was younger but didn’t remember it so wanted to watch it again and found it was so cute and that I actually enjoyed it.

It was a very well made movie with a cute storyline and precious characters, lots of magic and a sweet mythical creature that befriends these two little girls. I’m so happy I took a chance on something different to watch and found I really enjoyed it.
