So my April currently reading list is pretty similar to last months, I showed a few books that I had just received on that last one but hadn’t yet started. So here is my currently reading list.
The Book of Us by Andrea Michael
This book was kindly given to me by the author via NetGalley and I plan on reading it on Saturday it sounds incredible. It’s about two best friends from college that created a book of their lives filled with everything they dreamt of achieving, but one betrayed the other and they fell out, but now as one is sick she wants to reconcile and complete their book.
I really cannot wait to get stuck into this women’s fiction book, I used to read books like this all the time and I missed it. So I’m so happy to read this book.
Poptastic by Victoria Holmes
I was sent this book to read and review by the author I’m planning on trying to get this completed in the next few weeks. It’s about a girl that is bridesmaid at her ex’s wedding but one of the brides doesn’t like that. However she meets a pop star and is a fun distraction from her duties and her life, until everything goes wrong and the duties as bridesmaid don’t seem so bad anymore.
It’s a lesbian romance, I used to read this genre a lot a few years ago but haven’t read one in this genre for a while, I’ve read around 40% of this book so far and have been enjoying it.
Requiem, Changing Times by R.J Parker
Again was sent this by the author to read and review, I’ve not really started this yet, only read the first chapter but I am going to get to it soon. It’s a fantasy about multiple worlds and one of a magic world whose fate rests on a boy to save them.
Dakota and the American Dream by Sameer Garach
This is the last one I was sent by an author to read and review. This is a take on Alice in wonderland as Dakota follows a squirrel and then meets an array of unique characters who all have something to discuss and a hardship they’re facing.
I’ve not started this one at all yet but when I do it should be a quick read for me as it’s around 159 pages.
The Secret Garden by Frances Hodgson Burnett
This is a re-read as it’s one of ultimate favourite books. I was feeling really low one day and needed a pick me up so started to read this. I was just about to meet Colin, when I stoped and haven’t had time to finish it yet. But as soon as the books above have been read I’m finishing this one as a reward.
The Wind in the Willows by Kenneth Grahame
The Traveler’s Tricks by Laurie Calkoven
The 57 Lives of Alex Wayfare by M.G Buehrlen
These were all ones featured on both my Feb and March currently reading updates so I won’t bother putting them on here separately but they will stay like this for at least another month or so as I have other priorities than finishing these three due to being sent books for review.
