Review: I didn’t really enjoy this book that much, I know the story is condensed for younger children, but it just felt very choppy and like the story was very fluid anymore. It went from one event to another so quickly with no transition.

I love the general story of the nutcracker but this just wasn’t an exciting retelling of it for me. Though I’m sure younger audiences who haven’t heard the story before will still love and enjoy this, it’s a great starting book for getting a child into the story.
