Review
A great addition to the series and worked perfectly with its predecessing movies. It really fitted into the world so craftily and was a perfect extension of that. With Drac still not getting on with Jonny even though he’s been in the family for years now, and then when things go wrong he’s stuck having to be with just him.
I really liked that this gave the animators an interesting adventure, they had to create a humanised form of each character which was so much fun, and they didn’t all look how I would have expected but was still interesting. And then monster Jonny was hilarious and was absolutely brilliant.
I wouldn’t say I found most of this movie funny, there were parts that did but not as a whole, but it was still entertaining and I loved that Drac and Jonny were forced to spend time with each other to reverse what they’d done. It was really interesting seeing them starting to talk and understanding each other a bit more and seeing life through each other’s eyes a bit.
I think if you are a huge fan of the prior movies in this series you’ll absolutely love this one as it does work really well for a continuation of the Transylvania world created. It wasn’t my favourite in the series at all but it was still a really good watch.
