THIS REVIEW MAY CONTAIN SOME SPOILERS, I DO MY BEST TO NOT INCLUDE THEM BUT STILL KEEP IN MIND IF YOU’VE NOT SEEN THE MOVIE YET.

Summery: Mary is an ordinary young girl stuck in the country with her Great-Aunt Charlotte and seemingly no adventures or friends in sight. She follows a mysterious cat into the nearby forest, where she discovers an old broomstick and the strange Fly-by-Night flower, a rare plant that blossoms only once every seven years and only in that forest. Together the flower and the broomstick whisk Mary above the clouds and far away to Endor College – a school of magic run by headmistress Madam Mumblechook and the brilliant Doctor Dee. But there are terrible things happening at the school, and, when Mary tells a lie, she must risk her life to try to set things right. Based on Mary Stewart’s 1971 classic children’s book “The Little Broomstick”, “Mary and The Witch’s Flower” is an action-packed film full of jaw-dropping imaginative worlds, ingenious characters, and the stirring, heartfelt story of a young girl trying to find a place in the world. Featuring the voices of Ruby Barnhill and Academy Award-winners Kate Winslet and Jim Broadbent.

Review

What a cute movie with a really precious protagonist, everything about this movie was so magical and beautiful. From the storyline, to the characters, to the adventure, to the world created within it.

Young Mary has moved to live with her great aunt Charlotte but finds there nothing to do, until a cat leads her deep into the woods and she finds a unique flower that happens to be magic, then she finds a broom and with the two combined she is whisked away to a magic school, but all isn’t what it seems.

I loved that Mary was so strong even when thing went wrong, became hard she used all her knowledge and strength and found away to solve it all, she was so intelligent and such a fast learner. She was able to figure out ways without even trying to outsmart the villains in this story. She learnt and grew so much all while being in this incredibly magical adventure, that had big dangers.

I loved everything about this movie it was so beautifully created and I loved the story progression it was wonderfully made. The characters were all so thoughtfully created, the animation was wonderful and vibrant. It’s such an enjoyable movie for all ages. I do highly recommend this one.
