Review: Nicholas’ life become dreary and sad after his fathers death, with no money to support his family they reach out to his uncle Ralph a grouchy cruel old man who never helps a sole unless it can benefit him. From there Nicholas’ life is a whirlwind going from one place to another constantly to support his family.
I really enjoyed this book it really gripped me and was so entertaining so much happened constantly and I liked that. From him being in the veil school, to the acting troop and then working for the rich twins. His uncle Ralph or friends were never far away to make him come home once again.
I loved that there were elements of Dickens other books all within this one it was such an interesting and fun addition and as reading I loved recognising the similarities.
This was a really great book, I always love this easy classics series, it really does make a large classic so much less daunting to read and are a wonderful way of children getting to read them and still enjoy these classics. I highly recommend this series.
