Review:

Twilight is a recluse at crystal prep but the smarted student there, the principle blackmails her into going with them to the friendship games against Canterlot and there she unleashes portals and steals magic without knowing what she’s even doing. Sunset and the girls all see Twilight as both their friend and a competitor at the same time.

This one is really fun as it opens up a whole new world seeing this other school, how the students there viewed Twilight and how much harsher it was at the school. I loved the games they were so interesting and each one was showing off a different skill which was great.

The competition was fierce and the two schools really hated each other, which made it work so much better as none of them wanted to let the other win. I loved though that Twilight was stuck in the middle trying with her lack of confidence or friends from her prep school to help them win, but also seeing how friendly the other school was but then she was drawn to their magic putting a wedge between them.

I really enjoyed this movie, seeing the real Twilight from this realm, seeing the glitching magic, the two schools and the fun games between them, the character growth and changes between Twilight and Sunset. This one is one of the best movies in the series.

Side note: Little nod to the fact we finally got to see my favourite pony Lyra Heartstrings in this one yeay. She’s my complete favourite and she got to be one of the competitors so happy to see her make an appearance in this movie series finally. I know she’s in the next movie too yeay. Down side though she said nothing in this one.
