Review:

Emily has just moved to a new school and doesn’t fit in yet. When her mom has to go away for work she is stuck left with her unreliable uncle. Together they go to a animal rescue event and she finds an unusual tiny red dog. The next morning the dog is huge and a scientist wants him to experiment on.

I never thought I’d even watch this movie at all but it came on and so I actually gave it a chance and it surprised me a bit more than I expected it would. The story was actually really sweet and was really heart warming.

Emily formed such a huge connection to Clifford and it was adorable how much they loved each other and healed each other. He helped give her the confidence she was missing, gave her a best friend and connection with her and her uncle too. Her love was such pure magic that he grew to the size of her love.

The dog itself was actually a creative aspect I didn’t think it would work but the CGI was actually really cleverly done and it didn’t make the dog look out of place at all, it worked and he blended like a real dog just giant and red. He was really cute actually.

I really liked the sweet message within this movie of acceptance, difference, love and kindness. Showing that just because something isn’t what you are used too or expect didn’t mean they are dangerous or to be bullied or not accepted. It was really sweet.

The Scientist stuff was probably the worst parts of this, the guy playing the scientist was actually annoying and I couldn’t stand him. But I understand the reason behind that storyline within this movie.

I really actually liked this movie, unexpectedly but it was good, really sweet, magical and beautiful story of love between a human and their pet dog. It had funny parts, sweet parts, sad parts and even some action parts. It was one big heartwarming wonderfully made family movie.

If you are looking for an easy and beautiful family movie to watch I do recommend watching this it was really sweet and creatively made. I think you’ll be just as surprised as I was that this was really good and enjoyable.
