Review:

Clawdeen a half werewolf, half human is invited to go to monster high as her mom was a former alumni. Though she finds it’s hard to fit in when she’s only half monster and humans are the biggest threat. Luckily she makes friends with roommates Frankie and Draculaura. While in class she learns of a former student who made a serum to rid their human half, allowing to be a full monster.

This was so good, I’m so glad that this was so good. It was so entertaining had good songs, loved the friendships and the sweet romance. I really enjoyed the storyline with Calwdeen struggling with her two halves of herself. The actors were all really good and portrayed the characters so well, it’s a new form of bringing monster high to life and it could have been done so badly, but luckily it actually worked, they all felt like the characters and it was so fun to watch.

The villain side of this was a little predictable but would you expect anything less for this type of movie? Nope, though it was still interesting to see it all unfold. I liked that Clawdeen had to really understand herself in the big scene, she’d been struggling throughout the movie and it was great that she got a huge character changer which was great.

I loved the witch craft that the girls did together and that it wouldn’t work until Draculaura actually had her coven of witch friends and stopped doubting herself, it was such an interesting touch. I loved seeing all the characters just come alive in this fun, musical format with really interesting choreography that matched each characters personality really well, plus all the make up to make them look like the characters was so cool. I really liked seeing the Clawdeen and Deuce building their relationship it was so cute. I also loved Frankie, she was so funny being clueless and also a total genius at the exact same time.

This was such a great movie, if you’re a fan of the original animated movies or of the dolls, and also if you like other movies similar to this like Zombies, it has the same feel you will really love this movie and get right into it. I also like that we got an openish ending which means we should be given a second movie which I really want, there is so much potential for what else we could see out of these stories. There are so many more characters we haven’t yet met and I think so much more can come from the franchise.
