Review:
Starting off in 1903 with wealthy man Charles who buys a clock for his fiancé, as he turns the clock he is suddenly gone. Found over 100 years later in the same spot he last was, he is in a new era of 2020. He learns about the future, what happened to everyone he once knew and slowly falls in love with Megan who works at the show house and recreates his life over and over.
This was honestly so so predictable and literally nothing was shocking or surprising about this movie at all. I knew what was coming from the start right up to the end. It was very disappointing that it was that predictable. It didn’t hold my interest in anyway either. I found it hard to stay connected as it was really boring and the acting wasn’t very exciting at all either.
Charles didn’t even come across accurate for the time period he was from, the way he acted, spoke, it was just all wrong. He adjusted to the new modern world way too easily and fitted in like he’d always been there it was weird. I didn’t get the chemistry between him and Megan either, they didn’t work well together. They seemed like a very unlikely couple, though it was predictable they’d be together from the start, they still didn’t work.
The movie didn’t really have much in the way of Christmas other than one scene where he went to her families home for her yearly traditions as he didn’t have any. It would have been more fun to have had an accurate 1903 Christmas in the show house they all worked at p, it could have been so pretty. There was so much more they could have done to improve this storyline.
I honestly thought this was going to be a cute movie, but it wasn’t and it didn’t interest me at all. Very sad as it sounded unique and cute, it could have been such a beautiful and romantic movie, it just wasn’t to me.
