Review: Ellie finds a newspaper article about her great-grandfather, whilst at the park two squirrels take it away not letting her read what it says. When trying to get the papers back she discovers two feuding packs of squirrels the Grey vs the Red. They each have things that the other wanted. It’s up to Ellie and Blake to fix it and get the newspaper back.
This was a little odd the squirrels were really weird one came across Scottish and the other came across like Italian mafia it was so strange. The way they talked to each other and the way they threatened each other. It was odd and a bit off putting for me.
I liked learning more about Ellie’s great-grandfather and how he did what they did but in a time where he was seen as mental unwell. It was so very sad, but interesting. Ellie and Blake work really well together and by the end of the book looks like they may have a new friend.
The plot was interesting with there being three storylines all intertwined within this one book, we had the talking to the animals and solving their problems, the opening of the cafe and lastly the man trying to shut down the park and all the near by shops.
