Review:
An utterly brilliant and clever series. I didn’t know if I would enjoy this or not based on trailers but I was watching it regardless. Wow this was incredible, It was dark, sadistic and twisted, i was hooked instantly. It had so much storyline to unfold, so much mystery, so many incredible characters, so many suspects, it even had its comedy moments, it all was incredible.
I loved all the characters even the ones you are utterly supposed to hate. You never knew who to trust but you have so many ideas of who is who and then it changes constantly. Loved the twists on the characters throughout the show, such a fascinating touch. The cast were chosen perfectly I loved each and every one of them in their roles, they brought so much to them and they were incredible, they had so many layers to them, I loved exploring them so much. I loved the relationships building with Wednesday, how they all sort of went from not liking her to progressing later on. I really loved having two Wednesdays together what an incredible trip that was, so clever of the team to bring Christina Ricci into this series.
Jenna Ortega is a sensational Wednesday, she’s so evil and dark and not even once drops the character and her sadisticness, I loved her she’s so talented. I love this version of Wednesday she was really dark and really unique. You’d think she’d be hard to like but she wasn’t she had so much too her that even though she had that almost emotionless expression, you could still attach to her and like her. She was incredible creepy, wonderful, dark, sadistic, determined and utter perfection.
The mystery was so dark and sadistic, I was riveted following as it unfolded each episode and trying to solving it as it went on. The amount of twist and turn was unbelievable, I would think one thing and the show would make you think another, it was insane and I loved it all. I never thought so many things that you expect or think are going to actually happen would be so different. Though yes I predicted a big basis of the mystery (aka who it really was) I still absolutely loved it and got more than expected from it.
Thing can we talk about Thing because it is just a hand yet it had so much personality and emotion. How does just a hand convey that please explain? I adored Thing, he was so alive and real, he was hilarious, his emotions changed constantly, he was a sneaky little naughty Thing. I just absolutely adored that character. Also it made me so sad it one scene but I won’t spoil it. I’m so baffled I really am, but what an incredible hand thing was.
The entire cast in this show are a sensation, they were all so incredible and brought so much to it. The whole show was made in brilliance, it had all the right elements, was so devious and dark, it sucked you in within seconds and you had to watch so quickly as it was that good. There was seriously nothing flawed or imperfect in this whole show in my opinion, I ate it up and I want more more more now now now! That ending damn, what a place to leave us. I need more of this brilliance as I’m so sad it’s over, I will certainly be rewatching this show as it was so good.
If you have been undecided as to if to watch this or not, you must watch this it is unlike any other Addams Family previously made, it is so much better than any I’ve seen and that says something as I love the Addams Family. You will honestly be so hooked, so invested and you can’t not watch them all once you start. I love this show so much and am still blown away by just how incredible it was.
