Review: Four young wellie boots are nervous that they won’t be able to cope in the scary outside nor look after their human friend River. So they set off on an adventure to meet the elders and River sneaks along with them. There they learn they’ll be just fine in the world.
This was adorable, utterly adorable. So much imagination went into creating this book and I absolutely adored it. I loved that the umbrellas and wellies were friends and spoke to each other, I loved that the wellies made a team and went off on an adventure, I love that we saw so many different types of wellies throughout the adventure. Everything in this was so adorable.
River tagged along on the adventure which made it even cuter, it reminded me a bit of the Snowman story where the child’s imagination comes alive and they go to this unknown land with them and have the most fun adventure of their lives. So creative and so fun.
If you like reading whimsical, fun, unique, imaginative, adventure stories with your children I really recommend adding this one in, it’s so much fun and a really incredible read.
