Review: The oakleaf students have their first classes in their spark magic, Ivy unexpectedly struggles to learn her starmagic. But with the right teacher and the right moondust that is right for her she can do it and save herself and her friends from a dangerous situation.
Ivy was a very interesting character, she didn’t want to be a traditional fairy and wanted to stand out. It was interesting that she spotted the boggart and even though we’re taught to avoid them, she went after him. She learnt so much by chasing him, she changed history and told a story correctly for the first time in centuries.
I liked the friendship group they were all so very different to each other and it work perfectly, I liked learning all about the different types of spark magic they all had. That was fun as each was so different and reacted different to what they were.
This is an exciting new series following these fairies, pixies, sprites, brownies, leprechauns, boggarts and more as they learn their magic at oakleaf boarding school. I think it’s going to be a series children that love fairies and magic are going to really love it’s very exciting and the characters are really fascinating.
