Review: I wouldn’t normally post a bad review but I still wanted to share my opinion of this movie as I had high hopes for it.
I was honestly excited to watch this movie, being a fan of the book I was expecting this to be really good and scary. What was given in this movie was far from any of that.
There was nothing scary in the movie, the whole creation of it was very basic and not done very well at all. Which honestly was a shame. The acting wasn’t impressive in any way unfortunately and there was no connection between any actors nor was there any flow to the story line, nothing connected and nothing worked in this whole movie.
The movie was boring and I got very bored watching it. I found one jump scare within the whole thing and that was probably only because I wasn’t looking at the screen during that scene and didn’t notice it coming.
On the whole I clearly didn’t like it and am highly disappointed by this, I was expecting an incredibly scary horror movie and this really just wasn’t it. So if you had been considering watching it then keep in mind it’s not got a single element of horror in it.
I have not watched this remake, and wasn’t much impressed with the original adaptation, so I feel you. The book was wonderful. I remember reading it as a teen. Great review, thanks for sharing your thoughts.

This remake really isn’t worth watching, yeah the original is better than this but still not perfect. And I know the book is such an amazing book. Thank you very much.
